JEAN-MICHEL BASQUIAT: THE RADIANT CHILD AT THE BLOOR HOT DOCS CINEMA

If you’ve seen the Jean-Michel Basquiat: Now's the Time exhibition at the Art Gallery of Ontario, then you won’t want to miss our screening of JEAN-MICHEL BASQUIAT: THE RADIANT CHILD on Saturday, March 7, at 12:30 p.m. This special event is co-presented by the AGO.

Centered on a rare interview that director and friend Tamra Davis shot more than 20 years ago, this touching film chronicles the meteoric rise and fall of artist Jean-Michel Basquiat. At the height of his career he was 25 years old, and today his canvases sell for almost $50-million. With compassion and insight, Davis details the mysteries that surrounded this charismatic artist of enormous talent.

AGO curatorial assistant Magdalyn Asimakis will participate in a Q&A following the screening.
