Introduction to Baking Class
This class will give students an introduction to the fundamentals of baking. Covering all the beginner basics from accurate oven use, to proper mixing and baking techniques, the Introduction to Baking class will give students the skills necessary to prepare exceptional home-style cakes from scratch using high quality, natural ingredients. This class is great for those who have little to no baking experience but who wish to build their confidence in the kitchen!
STUDENTS WILL LEARN:
Basic principles of baking
(measuring, sifting, baking times, mixing methods)
The functions of all main ingredients
How to personalize recipes by substituting ingredients
STUDENTS WILL MAKE:
Sour Cream Streusel Cake
Caramel Upside-Down Cake
Flavouring options for cupcakes
Frosting
STUDENTS MUST WEAR:
Flat closed hard toe shoes
Apron
Note: For all baking classes students must tie hair back.
