Intro to Tapestry Weaving Workshop
Explore colour and geometric and organic form while designing and weaving your own unique wall tapestry. In this introduction to tapestry weaving, participants will learn to warp a basic frame loom, and use weaving techniques such as plain stitch, soumak stitch, and rya knots to produce a handwoven tapestry. Participants will leave the workshop with the confidence to continue to explore weaving on their own. All materials will be supplied, but if you have your own yarn or thread you would like to include into your weaving, please feel free to bring them.
