YWCA Toronto’s Inspirations Studio is a unique low-barrier ceramics program for women and gender diverse people. The Studio provides studio access, storefront selling opportunities and arts education for women who have experienced marginalization.

The Studio’s core mission is to contribute to improving women’s lives through the making and selling of pottery. Through creative, therapeutic and skill-building work, women gain self-confidence and stability while connecting to community, gaining a source of supplemental income, and finding a new way to engage with the world as makers.

Art — and clay in particular — can bring change and offer healing, while giving people purpose, pride, passion and joy.
