Indicators - A Photography Exhibition by Benjamin Gibson - Part of CONTACT Photography Festival 2026

Proudly part of the CONTACT Photography Festival, Indicators is a large-format photography exhibition by Benjamin Gibson, presented in partnership with Crown Property Management and TENSANO.

The exhibition takes place in a raw 22nd-floor space overlooking the city, offering a striking setting for a series that explores transformation within Canada’s glacial landscapes. The show runs during the opening weeks of the festival from May 2–12, 2026, and is free to the public.

An opening reception for Indicators will be held on May 5 at 6PM. RSVP via the artist’s website to attend.

"Indicators is a photography series examining two of Canada’s most significant glacial landscapes—the Athabasca Glacier and the Victoria Glacier at Lake Louise—at a moment of visible transformation. I photographed these sites in spring 2023, drawn to the tension between their immense beauty and the evidence of rapid environmental change embedded within them.

By presenting these photographs at scale, I invite viewers to slow down and look closely, to sit with the possibility that what feels timeless is, in fact, transient. Indicators is not intended as a warning, but as an act of witnessing—an opportunity to reflect on change already underway and on the uncertain future of landscapes long assumed to be permanent." - Benjamin Gibson, Photographer
