Ibrahim Maalouf

Ibrahim Maalouf Born in Beirut in 1980, Ibrahim Maalouf is now the most popular instrumentalist of the French musical scene. His work mixing multiple musical genres has been renowned around the world for the last ten years. In 2022, he became the first Lebanese instrumentalist nominated at the Grammy Awards for his album Queen of Sheba in collaboration with Angélique Kidjo. Travelling to more than forty countries over the past ten years, he became the first jazzman in history to have sold out the largest concert venues in France.

Throughout his career, Ibrahim received several awards including 2 Victoires du Jazz and 2 Victoires de la Musique for Best World Music Album and Musical Show and Concert of the Year, making him the first instrumentalist to receive this recognition in the 33-year history of the Victoires de la Musique ; an Echo Jazz in Germany, a César Award for Best Original Music, and a Lumières Award for Best Original Score in 2016. Additionally, he is the recipient of the following honorary distinctions from the French government: Knight of the National Order of Merit and Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters.

Over the years, Ibrahim Maalouf has collaborated with some of the greatest artists in the music industry in France and worldwide : Sting, Marcus Miller, -M-, Richard Bona, Melody Gardot, Angélique Kidjo... The legendary producer Quincy Jones has supported Ibrahim’s talents on various occasions, his label now manages his career in the US.
