The owners of a funeral home have made a bad investment but luckily, they have a very expensive funeral booked that would save their business. But what happens when they find out that old Mrs. Johnson is not dead? Will they gently “guide” her over to the other side? Or, will they tell her family that she is alive – and risk losing everything? Hymns and Hearse gives the audience a glimpse into the inner workings of a day in the life of a struggling funeral home, and the hilarious and absurd extremes the co-owners will go to--to survive financially. This is a delightfully dark comedy that puts the “fun” back in funeral!
