In the time before the internet and before television, friends and families gathered to watch the glowing light of the radio and to listen to their weekly stories. This immersive theatre experience transports audiences behind the glowing light, as they enter the world of a live 1940’s radio studio broadcast! This Remembrance Week, let us take you back to the golden age of radio….

Heroes on the Air is a powerful theatrical experience that blends live radio drama, music, storytelling, and sound effects into an unforgettable tribute to Canada's aviation heroes.

Hosted by two-time JUNO Award nominee Jason Wilson, and written by acclaimed playwright Sara Moyle, five versatile performers bring more than 30 real-life RCAF heroes to life through dynamic character portrayals and immersive soundscapes.

Inspired by stories from Canadian bestseller, Pathway to the Stars, Heroes on the Air celebrates the courage, sacrifice, and enduring spirit of the men and women who have served in the RCAF. Whether you're a history enthusiast or simply love exceptional storytelling, this moving production offers an inspiring evening of theatre that honours Canada's rich aviation legacy.

Presented by the RCAF Foundation, Heroes on the Air commemorates a century of service through stories that continue to inspire generations.
