In advance of our presentation of globalFESTs Creole Carnival, we transform The Great Hall with a trio of celebrations offering Brazilian, Colombian and Caribbean Carnival experiences.

In the Main Hall, expect samba and more throughout the night as we explore the many facets of Brazils Carnival celebrations with live music from Mar Aberto SoundSystem, DJs General Eclectic and Dj Simba, and live dance from Dance Migration Company.

In the Conversation Room, Lido Pimienta re-creates the Carnival experiences of her youth in Barranquilla, Colombia where she perfomed as a tamborera drummer and cantaora singer. The vibrant installation and display of music, dance and more brings together the Colombian and Latin community in an unforgettable night where tradition meets contemporary sounds, featuring featuring Anita Graciano, Benny Esguerra a.k.a. A New Tradition, and Mas Aya

The Caribbean comes north to Studio 3, so you dont have to travel, as we shine the spotlight on Trinidad and St. Kitts with two of Torontos finest DJs Shy and Jester spinning soca and all your Carnival favourites.
