Grow & Tell: Build Your Own Hydroponic Garden
What if you could grow your own garden in the comfort of your home, your condo, how about your studio apartment?
Join us at Future S.E.T. for Grow & Tell: A fun, hands-on workshop where you’ll learn how to grow everything from nutrient-packed microgreens to the produce you love, all without soil, using Agri-tech.
In this beginner-friendly session, we’ll introduce you to the magic of hydroponics: an easy, water-based growing method that can turn any corner of your home into a mini farm. Whether you want to grow organically for your health, your family, or are just interested in a fun activity, we’ll walk you through how to build your own hydroponic system step-by-step.
Want to build and grow with us? For a small materials fee, you'll receive your own starter kit, and we’ll help you make a personal system you can take home and start growing with right away.
This isn't just about plants, it's about food empowerment. At a time when many of our communities face barriers to healthy, affordable food, learning to grow your own is a revolutionary act. Come discover how everyday people are leading the next chapter in sustainable food production. Let’s grow food and grow community together! 🌱
A bit about us: Future S.E.T. (Science, Education, and Technology) is a non-profit organization addressing the career challenges faced by Canadian youth trained in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), particularly those from marginalized backgrounds. Many STEM youth struggle to secure Canadian work experience due to limited opportunities, a lack of industry connections, and a competitive job market that often forces them to seek employment abroad. Future S.E.T. is bridging this gap by marrying the skills of STEM youth with the increasing demand for innovation in the Agri-Tech and sustainability sectors due to the ongoing climate crisis.
