University Settlement will welcome thousand of community members to Grange Park on August 7 for the 85th annual Grange Festival, a long-standing Toronto tradition celebrating culture, connection, and community. The Grange Festival welcomes more than 4500 participants each year and features performances, community organizations, activities, and opportunities for neighbours of all ages to connect. All free thanks to the generosity of the sponsors International Data Financial Services (IFDS), the Kiwanis Club of Casa Loma and ecobee by Generac. Rain or Shine!

This multicultural, intergenerational event will be honoured by the presence of Mayor Olivia Chow, Deputy Mayor Ausma Malik and MPP Chris Glover, highlighting its significance as a cultural landmark in the city.

At this year’s festival, attendees will have the opportunity to:

• Explore community tables from more than 25 Toronto-based organizations

• Enjoy live performances by local artists, including dance and music representing the city’s diverse cultural communities, as well as performances from University Settlement’s Music & Arts School and Seniors Programs

• Participate in free games and activities, and enjoy free treats, including hot dogs, ice cream, snow cones, popcorn, and cotton candy.

The Grange Festival’s rich history dates to its origins as the Spring Festival in the early 1900s, when it featured music, drama, and neighbourhood parades. The festival in its current form has been celebrated for 85 years. and stands as a testament to the resilience and unity of Toronto’s diverse communities, with values that closely align with University Settlement’s mission.
