1. Palak Loizides ( @embiria )
Palak Loizides' words to live by come from Maya Angelou - “My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style”.
This comes through in spades in the way in which she carves out space for her passions while fulfilling her entrepreneurial spirit. Palak parted ways with corporate business and marketing for companies like Kraft Foods, RBC, Indigo Head Office and TIFF after 10 years to found her own company Embiria (Greek for "Experience"), which sets out to curate bespoke experiences in the areas of creativity and wellness. From Calligraphy Workshops, to Yoga x Brunch, Cooking Classes, Painting Experiences and more, Embiria aims to bring together a community of like-minded individuals over fun activities.
Palak is deeply passionate about creating authentic connections, and living a life of balance over hustle. She is also an avid traveler (exploring around 10 countries a year), a bookworm, a yoga and barre enthusiast, always on the hunt for great brunch, and creator of the Cookbook Club where a group of women meet monthly in each other's homes over delicious food and real conversations.
2. Andreya Klobucar ( @mimpmag )
19 year old, Andreya Klobucar, is an artist and entrepreneur based in Toronto, ON. As a multifaceted artist, media producer, curator, speaker and consultant, she is constantly gaining experience and learning what she can offer to the ever-changing media industry. Andreya strives to put everyday women at the centre of her media, make genuine connections and be a vessel to share the real stories of real women.
3. Jodianne Beckford ( @the.e.project )
Jodianne Beckford is a commercial lifestyle photographer and the creator and host of The E Project podcast. She began this project back in 2015, where initially it was a blog, at a time where she was at her lowest. To lift her spirits she decided to start a project while living in Ottawa. Jodianne soon realized how many amazing creatives were in the Capital and wanted to share their stories in hopes of not only encouraging herself but fellow creatives too.
Today the project has grown to be so much more than she would have imagined, a podcast. Jodianne's interviews have allowed her to meet so many amazing entrepreneurs that have made great names for themselves, Femi Lawson, Jordan Oram, Nneka Elliott, Nike Onile, Mazz Amini, Pauleanna Reid, just to name a few.
She has also been featured in online publications such as Love&Nudes feature Friday, Work It Social, Shifter Magazine, Byblacks, and Fit 4 Thought Podcast. Jodianne's goal is to inspire people to do what makes them happy by listening to real stories of failures, and success.
