Make It Funky Crew is celebrating 20 years of bringing Beats, Breaks & Bass to Toronto with a special anniversary party featuring the legendary Fort Knox Five and rising UK producer Father Funk. It all comes full circle as Fort Knox Five, the act that launched the very first Make It Funky back in 2005 at the old 360 Club, return to the stage to mark two decades of unforgettable music, energy, and community.

Since its beginnings, Make It Funky has grown into Toronto’s premier breakbeat and bass party, uniting global talent with local innovators to create a movement rooted in funk, hip hop, breaks, and bass-heavy live grooves. This milestone event continues that tradition, blending nostalgia with fresh sounds and celebrating the scene’s evolution with an unstoppable lineup that promises to keep the dancefloor moving all night long.

Washington, D.C.’s Fort Knox Five have been pioneering the modern funk sound for over 20 years, blending live instrumentation with electronic beats that move seamlessly from funk and reggae to house, hip hop, and breaks. Led by Steve Raskin, FK5’s high-energy DJ sets have rocked world-class clubs and major festivals across the globe, cementing their place as icons of the funky future.

Father Funk is a genre-bending party rocker known for fusing Funk, Hip Hop, and Disco with bass-heavy styles from Dubstep to Drum & Bass. With notorious bootlegs, electrifying productions, and a mischievous stage presence, he’s become a global festival favourite, lighting up stages from Glastonbury to Shambhala. Constantly evolving, Father Funk is pushing his sound forward with major collaborations and releases, making 2025 his biggest year yet.

Make it Funky's mission has always been hell-bent on bringing the best of funk, breaks, hip hop, and beat-driven live music to the masses.
