Free Film Fest & Vegan Potluck - August 30
Join and celebrate the 3rd annual Centre for Media and Celebrity Studies (CMCS) film fest screenings over a nut-free vegan potluck at Wishbone Animal Rights Lab at 5-8 pm on Saturday, August 30! Details of the film festival are here: https://filmfreeway.com/WallofFameFestival
Huge thanks to our venue, Wishbone, at 600 Bay Street, Toronto. Please note Suite 308 for screenings & 305 for potluck on the 3rd floor. Join us in your best style!
This event will also celebrate the 12th anniversary of CMCS, which was inaugurated in August 2013! This year's anniversary & festival event will include a fun, vegan potluck, so join us with your best plant-based option! Due to severe medical allergies to peanuts, we suggest bringing a nut-free plant-based dish.
Our venue, Wishbone, is a unique grassroots organization supporting one of our main social justice causes, i.e., animal rights, alongside human rights and environmental ethics. With a flourishing library resource centre and a media studio for ongoing podcast shows, photography sessions, painting meetups, language classes, and art exhibits and screenings, Wishbone stands out as one of the best non-profit organizations, facilitating education, art, training, and activism for all species. Special acknowledgments go to the owner, Sue Saphr, who is also a great feminist role model for all. More info: https://wishbonearlab.ca/
Feel free to bring a friend and meet ethical art lovers over our films & food - not to be missed
Meanwhile, we'd love to email a peek into our nominations before and after our event!
See you on the 30th!
