Food Truck'N Friday

Food Truck’N Friday to host its biggest event this season with 11 of southern Ontario’s best food trucks

TORONTO – Starting with just six food trucks at its 2016 season opener on April 1, Food Truck’N Friday has responded to popular demand by offering nearly double the number of trucks to close out the month of May.

A total of 11 of southern Ontario’s top food trucks will be rolling into Etobicoke on Friday, May 27, including two newcomers to the event: Wanna Burger, which specializes in burgers and shakes, and Fit To Grill, winner of Food Network’s Food Truck Face Off. Rounding out the lineup are: Gotham Grill, Prince Edwards Fries, Made in Brasil, I Love Lasagna, Vesta Lunch On Wheels, La Novela, Caribbean Authentic, and Fidel Gastro’s and Dolcella Gelato, both of which will be making their highly anticipated return to Food Truck’N Friday.

“The event continues to grow, thanks in large part to our hugely talented support team, our valued food truck friends, our incredible community partners and, most importantly, our food truck fans who continue to show up every other week,” said Jason Bellissimo, Director of Sales & Marketing of J.B. Innovative Solutions Inc., and founder of Food Truck’N Friday. “Nothing excites our fans more than seeing new trucks on the ground, so we decided to treat them to our biggest lineup yet!”

Several community partners will also be returning on May 27 to lend their support, including Green 3 Technologies (www.green3technologies.com), a leading provider of ozone odour removal and purification products, and Mississauga-based Colorworks Express Autobody Centers (www.colorworks.ca/mississauga), which will be offering a 10% discount on all body work by simply using promo code FTF16.

Mobile Farm Fresh will once again be a vendor, selling fresh produce to those who wish to shop and eat at the same time. And rounding out the Food Truck’N Friday experience will be More Than Pies (www.morethanpies.com), a brand new community partner, which will be selling its delicious freshly baked goods.

“We want to get the word out that Food Truck’N Friday is more than just a few trucks parked by the side of the road,” added Bellissimo. “These mobile kitchens are dishing out gourmet quality eats, and on top of that we’ve got fresh produce and baked goods for sale, live entertainment and balloon art on most nights, and great discounts and incentive offers from community partners. It’s a complete Friday night experience.”

Food Truck’N Friday is Etobicoke’s premier food truck event, free to attend and takes place bi-weekly, rain or shine, in the parking lot at Bloor St. W. and Resurrection Road, just west of Islington subway station. The May 27th event kicks off at 4:30 p.m. and lasts until 10:00 p.m. Plenty of free parking is available.
