As a relentless collector of music, the entry point to DJing was in place early for DJ Ariel. Classically trained in dance she found sounds to move to, in her growing collection, and from there encouraged others to do the same.

Originally from the coastal Cree community of Fort Albany First Nation, off the coast of James Bay, Rosary Spence is a well-recognized Indigenous singer, steeped in time-honoured Aboriginal rhythms and styles.
