FEAST IN THE EAST 44 // DOOMSQUAD // /MATROX // ZONES // BARBARA
FEAST IN THE EAST is a monthly east end music food & installation series.
This month features a free Dutch dinner by Justin Go.
And music by:
Toronto psych trance ensemble moves dark brooding synth tones with danceable beats. Hollow vocals whisper over an industrial groove. Cold passion drips from these freak beat jammers. Like the lost part music from some swamp planet in Star Wars. If the Talking Heads were a cold wave band on tour opening for Skinny Puppy. Manic phases burst out of loner head phone drones. Come get your freak on 2015
Toronto kraut synth smooth mover, creates psychedelic dreamscape music. The vacation soundtrack for a tropical resort on mars. Flowering synth tones glisten endlessly as tinkering electronic drum movements get buried in the spectral glow of oscillating effected guitar notes. Lie the interior of a large gem, sounds reflect and reverberate in slow motion and new notes wade through the fog of frequencies.
Robot synth trio lays out some languid space electro funk licks. New generation beats click underneath floating synth lines. Hopeful new world moon music for a future where space is a safe haven for your dreams. Bleeps & bloops glitch forward over some Moroder style bass lines. Distorted angular vocals chant out in slow motion over impending electro chaos.
Truly warped brothers delve into the performative with this post Mare duo. Unsettling & untrustworthy cooing and extended vocal techniques stack themselves on top of collaged samples & electronic beats. An exercise in absurdity, deconstructed songs paired with a mutating physicality of the brothers themselves. Come early to check out this deep freak scene.
