In our final installment of Fashion & Film, TIFF will screen Amy Heckerling's Clueless — a clever modern-day version of Jane Austen's Emma that made Alicia Silverstone the face of a teen generation — on Tuesday, November 15th. The film will feature an extended intro and Q&A from costume designer/stylist Mona May.

Cher Horowitz (Alicia Silverstone) is a wealthy, popular, and unusually benevolent Beverly Hills queen bee with a penchant for matchmaking and makeovers. When a "tragically unhip" new girl (Brittany Murphy) transfers to her ritzy high school, Cher takes it upon herself to overhaul the ugly duckling's looks and love life both — but when her plan works out far too well, she is suddenly faced with the superficiality of her insulated existence.
