Frantz Fanon was a political thinker,psychiatrist, writer and activist. His work has significantly contributed to an understanding of the impacts of colonialism and anti-colonial struggles. This discussion will focus on his influence on African cinema and on current social justice movements. It will be moderated by Kevin Edmonds (Caribbean Studies, University of Toronto). Speakers include Chevy Eugene (Political Science, Dalhousie University) and others to be announced. The discussion will be followed by a Q&A with the audience.
