Family Day Weekend Lunar New Year Celebration

Celebrate the Year of the Horse with three days of free family programming at the Aga Khan Museum this Family Day Weekend. From February 14–16, the Museum is partnering with the Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto to welcome the Lunar New Year with Chinese dance performances, live music ensembles, martial arts demonstrations, and face-changing artists. Museum Collections Gallery admission is also free all weekend.

Highlights include dumpling story time, where presenters craft dumplings and spring rolls while sharing personal stories from their culture and heritage, plus live calligraphy where visitors leave with personalized bookmarks. On February 14 from 11 am–5 pm, Aga Khan Park hosts WinterFest with outdoor winter games, igloo building, ice sculpture carving demos, fire pits, and food trucks.

This celebration has become one of Toronto's most beloved cross-cultural family traditions. Bring the family and welcome new possibilities, confidence, and joyful energy for the year ahead.
