Editorial Creative Portraiture: Using Gels and Gobos to enhance the visuals
This engaging, intermediate-level workshop aims to develop your skills in creating dramatic editorial portraits using advanced techniques such as gobos and gels. Our focus will be on understanding the use of these tools in shaping and colouring light, creating engaging contrasts, and adding an artistic flair to your portraits.
Participants will learn how to creatively shape light using gobos and manipulate colour using gels, following a complementary colour scheme. You'll discover how these elements can significantly alter the mood and narrative of your images.
Throughout the workshop, our instructors will provide hands-on guidance, offering feedback and advice on improving your techniques and artistic vision. Educational materials will be provided to supplement your learning. The last 30 minutes of the session will be dedicated to basic post-processing instructions using ADOBE and CAPTURE ONE tools. We recommend you come prepared to take notes.
By the end of this session, you'll have developed a deeper understanding of these advanced techniques, enabling you to create dynamic, visually stunning editorial portraits that will enhance your portfolio.
