Earth Day Globe Walk Toronto

From sunrise to sunset, the Earth Day Globe Walk is a vibrant, art-filled, 25 kilometre walk across Toronto’s Danforth/Bloor Street to celebrate Earth Day and reignite the call for clean air and water, renewable energy and a resilient climate.

On Saturday, April 18th* a band of volunteers, elders, puppets, and musicians will walk and dance through the streets of Toronto carrying a beautiful, giant globe of the Earth to inspire and reaffirm their commitment to a safe, healthy and fair future for all. The day will start at 6:00 AM at Bluffer’s Park Beach with a sunrise celebration led by Indigenous elders Cat Kriger and Sally Gaikezheyongai and end at sunset at the Humber Bay Shore Campfire sculpture with fun-filled stops at local parks along the way. Find a celebration near you at East Lynn Park, Withrow Park, Bloor and Avenue Rd, Matt Cohen Park, Christie Pits and High Park. Each of the stops on the Earth Day Globe Walk will feature live music, puppetry, dance, art activities, bands or choirs. Check the website for times, more details and how you can get involved.
