DX Fall Kids Days

Bringing design education to youth is a core component of the Design Exchange mandate. Through DX programs, young audiences are encouraged to become creative problem-solvers and design thinkers at every age.

DX Kids' Days are free drop-in activity days where families and kids of all ages are encouraged to explore different design concepts and disciplines. Led by a team of qualified, DX Instructors, DX Kids Day activities are hands-on and explore different themes each session. Kids are encouraged to bring their creativity - DX provides everything else (including all the materials needed to create your own DIY-design masterpieces).

Sound Design

1-4pm at Design Exchange (234 Bay St.)

Inspired by Design Exchange's Maker Library Network exhibition, young designers will explore visual storytelling through the combination mixed media and musical concepts. How do you turn rhythm, sequences and sound into a visual display? Led by DX Instructor, DJ David Ariza, kids will learn about music basics through rhythm exercises and sound sequencing design combined with the use of digital media apps and mixed media.
