Please note that this is a complimentary event to the COMIC BOOK MARATHON: SPECIAL EDITION which will be running at BACK SPACE TORONTO the same day.

Participating Creators work in progress: Michael Cho, Keith Grachow, Marvin Law, Ty Templeton, Noel Tuazon.

THE LONG DESCRIPTION:

On Saturday November 1 we are co-presenting an event at Back Space Toronto entitled THE COMIC BOOK MARATHON: SPECIAL EDITION.

Some of you may be familiar with our previous Comic Book Marathons held at the store - it's an event we sponsor that is run by Keiren Smith in conjunction with Comic Book Boot Camp. Sponsors are the Lounge, Back Space and Comic Book Boot Camp.

From 11 am until 11 pm, registered participants will be crafting comic book stories on site - it's a variation on Scott McLeod's 24 comic book challenge, except we run it for 12 hours instead of 24 and this time out the event is dedicated to helping raise funds for EPILEPSY TORONTO.

As you may know, we lost our dearly missed Debra Jane Shelly earlier this year to SUDEP Sudden Unexpected Death in EPilepsy. The organizers of this event have decided to dedicate it to her, and the participants will be giving a pay-what-you-can donation to Epilepsy Toronto to participate, and we will be putting out donation jars for people to contribute at the Comic Book Lounge and in the Back Space.

"Drawing for Deb" will be a series of creator appearances at the Comic Book Lounge throughout the day to help raise funds for EPILEPSY TORONTO in Debra's name. We will also have some original art and sketches available at the store on display to help raise money as well.
