Don Valley Parkway Roadside Clean Up

Don't Mess with the Don is partnering with the City of Toronto to do a first ever public clean of the Don Valley Parkway. On June 4th, the DVP will be closed for a charity bike ride. DMWTD has spent the last year negotiating to do a long overdue clean up of the green spaces which border the DVP. Many of these areas have been neglected for a long time and are inaccessible while there is vehicle traffic present. We have a once in a year opportunity to brighten and clean the parkland beside the parkway.

The clean up is from 10 to 1 pm and we will be meeting in two locations:

1) Coxwell Ravine Park. Meeting point is at the Taylor Creek Dogpark. You can enter the park via the trail entrance at the north end of Coxwell Blvd;

2) Moccasin Trail Park. Meeting point is at the Milne Hollow Parking Lot, East Don Trail. You can enter the park via Old Lawrence Avenue.

Great refreshments and incredible satisfaction for all plus as an awesome bonus all volunteers will receive an original red "We are going to change the world" Don't Mess with the Don t-shirt. FREE!

Garbage bags and gloves will be provided, just make sure to wear long pants, sturdy shoes, a hat and sunscreen.

This is a chance which will not come around again, at least not for another year. Be a part of Toronto history!
