Opening event: Saturday Oct 25th 6:30-9:30 (College St. United Church)

Conference: Sunday Oct 26th 9:30am-6:30pm (Steelworkers Hall)

Doing Jewish Off the Grid is a movement-building event organized by Independent Jewish Voices and the United Jewish People's Order that brings together Jews whose politics, identities and spiritualities challenge the beliefs and practices of mainstream Jewish organizations.

The event begins on Saturday evening Oct. 25 with Daniel Thau-Eleff's acclaimed one-person show "Good People, Bad Things." The performance will be followed by a Q&A; conducted by Darrah Teitel, an award-winning playwrite coming to us from Ottawa.

We will continue on Sunday morning Oct. 26 with an opening panel: "Doing Jewish Off the Grid After Gaza" with Judy Rebick, Dan Freeman-Maloy, Reena Katz and Rabbi Elizabeth Bolton. The afternoon features 3 sessions of workshop options on a variety of political, identity-based, and spiritual subjects.

All welcome. Accessible venues. All-gender washroom. Childcare available if you register by Oct 20th. For any questions or concerns contact JewishOffTheGrid@gmail.com
