Demand Film presents a screening of a new documentary film, HANGING BY A WIRE, in Toronto on Wed Oct 21 at 7 pm. In August 2023, a routine school commute in northern Pakistan turns terrifying when two cables snap, leaving eight passengers—including six schoolboys—dangling 900 feet above a ravine as rescuers race

desperately to save them.

"Nail-biting...brisk yet enthralling...pulse-pounding...gripping"

Jason Gorber, POV Magazine

This amazing, edge-of-your-seat thriller draws on firsthand testimony and remarkable on-the-ground footage. The film is a tense, true-life portrait of courage, community, and the class divides that complicated the rescue effort.

Selected as Pakistan's official entry to the 2027 Academy Awards.

Screening at Cineplex Yonge-Dundas at 7 pm.
