Diaspora Dialogues Big Literary Carnival
Diaspora Dialogues presents DD’s Big Literary Carnival, an immersive two-night celebration of storytelling, live performance, music, and literary magic happening May 22–23, 2026 at the Kimpton Saint George Hotel in Toronto.
Taking place at 5:30 PM and 7 PM each evening, the event transforms literature into a vibrant, interactive experience. Audiences can explore poetic fortune telling inspired by beloved books, contemporary performances, live music, and immersive artistic encounters that blur the line between audience and artist.
A featured highlight includes a bold contemporary reimagining of The Merchant of Venice by award-winning playwright and actor Sarena Parmar.
The event features a dynamic lineup of writers and artists including Uzma Jalaluddin, Rasiqra Revulva, Britta Bauer, Jennilee Austria-Bonifacio, Jinwoo Park, and Joseph Donato.
DD’s Big Literary Carnival takes place at the Kimpton Saint George Hotel, 280 Bloor St W, Toronto. Tickets are $25, with PWYC options available.
