Death From Above 1979

“DFA79′s music still sounds like nothing that came before it and nothing that came after it.”
-The National Post

Just when you thought the year was done, on the horizon looms death at the 11th hour with Death From Above 1979.

Death From Above 1979 are an elusive force. Here today, gone tomorrow and back again. Their time away only seems to feed the excitement that surrounds them. An excitement that started way back 2001, and grew steadily until the release of their only full length record "You're A Woman, I'm A Machine" in 2004. It wasn't long after that the power-duo went supernova and disbanded leaving ripples across the music scene. Then there was a 5 year exodus until 2011, when they unexpectedly reunited for a series of festival shows.

But where are they now?

Who knows.

Where will they be on December 26th 2013?

At The Danforth Music Hall in Toronto to celebrate the death of another year.

Where will they be in 2014?

Another mystery to feed the funeral pyre.

Don’t miss your chance to end off this holiday season with a very rare underplay with Death From Above 1979 at The Danforth Music Hall.
