David Krystal
Born in South London UK, David Krystal was deeply influenced by artists like Van Morrison, Nina Simone and American Soul Music. After experimenting with multiple instruments in his
teenage years, Krystal decided to make a career of his musicianship, touring Europe as a keyboard player in various bands, and for a time as a solo act, and then immigrated to Canada where Sony Music took notice of his talents and signed him to a publishing deal. Ambition inspired Krystal to launch his own music production company and despite accolades in the
commercial domain of TV and Film, Krystal knew that his ultimate path was to create his own songs. When his 2010 debut album View From The Inside spawned a European hit with Say
You Love Me, there was no denying the demand for Krystals voice. Soon followed She Sings To Me, a collection of tracks that takes listeners on a deeper exploration of the human condition.
One LIVE album and now Krystal's latest recording, an EP titled All the Colours, provocative, sensual and mournful, soon to be an LP rounded out with new songs that will be showcased at
the Burdock. Accompanied by Canadas top talent; Gordon Sheard on Piano, Marc Rogers on Bass, Neil Chapman on guitar and Mark Kelso on Drums, Krystals powerful voice and
beautifully crafted song structures drive this compelling blend of R&B, jazz, folk and acoustic pop, and create a harmonious sonic package that can be described as new modern soul.
