Cryptorips @ The Drake Underground w. Swirlies

Cryptorips make their Toronto debut, Tuesday, July 14 @ The Drake Underground opening for the Swirlies.

Formed, de-formed, adjusted, and aligned somewhere between 2014 and the present, Dartmouth's Cryptorips features a seasoned cast of indie rock veterans including Mark Mullane (North of America), Matt McQuaid (Holy Fuck), Adam Hartling (Long Weekends) and Rob Oxner (celebrity barber). Combining shades of post-punk with noisy angular riffs, the band finds its home in the lines between Fugazi's Repeater and Sonic Youth's Washing Machine all while channeling contemporaries such as METZ, The Blood Brothers, and Viet Cong.

First single "Glenwood G.G" wields frenetic guitars, ganky bass lines, and urgent trade-off vocals.
