Consignor Canadian Fine Art 'Antiques Roadshow'-inspired open house

Have you ever wondered how much that inherited painting tucked away in the attic is really worth? One Toronto resident recently learned they owned an undiscovered painting by renowned artist William Kurelek valued at nearly $20,000, following an appraisal at Consignor Canadian Fine Art’s Open House this past spring.

Consignor is once again opening its doors, November 19-21, for an Antiques Roadshow-inspired Open House. Anyone interested in selling a Canadian painting, print or sculpture on consignment and/or curious to learn more about a piece of artwork they own, is welcome to meet with a certified art specialist for complementary mini-consultations and verbal auction valuations.

Additionally, the Open House will offer a preview of upcoming works featured in Consignor’s Fall Auction of Important Canadian Art (Nov 19 - 28) that includes the newly discovered Kurelek painting and a rare canvas by Canadian painter David Milne, making its debut on the auction block. Other notable works by celebrated historical and post-war Canadian artists such as A.J. Casson, Emily Carr, Robert Pilot, Jean Paul Riopelle, Harold Town, Sybil Andrews, Maud Lewis, Robert Bateman, Joe Fafard, and David Blackwood, among others.
