Concert: Quatuor Cambini Paris

Used to performing in prestigious places like the Louvre in Paris or the Frick Collection in New York, rewarded by critics for their recordings at Naïve-Ambroisie, the musicians of that quartet playing with ancient instruments will delight you.

Founded in 2007 by four young musicians, graduated from the best French schools for classical and baroque studies, the Cambini Quartet is one the rare string quartets to play with ancient instruments.

They named themselves Cambini in tribute to Giuseppe Maria Cambini (1746-1825), a violinist and prolific composer who led a life of adventure. Passionate about rediscovering unjustly forgotten French composers, they are also applauded for performing masterpieces. Their recordings were critically acclaimed (Discovery Golden Diapason Prize, Telerama magazine Prize) and they perform for many major European venues and festivals.
