Community Art Night in Leslieville! Presented by The Creative Pack, a new collective of local emerging artists
What happens when emerging artists ditch the isolation of solo work and create together? The Creative Pack has the answer.
Founded on the belief that creativity thrives in community, this collective of Toronto artists meets in a Leslieville loft to work side-by-side on their creative projects. Inspired by Rick Rubin’s The Creative Act, members gather for focused sessions of parallel play and discussions on creative process. Together, they become witnesses to each other’s deep work and support each other through creative challenges.
“We’re proving that you don’t need to create alone,” says Habiba. “The energy of working alongside other artists transforms the experience from daunting to motivating.”
After months of workshops, The Creative Pack is ready to share their work with the neighbourhood. The group is hosting their first community art show on October 18th. It will be a great opportunity to meet people in the community while supporting local artists!
Works of music, sound collage, poetry, painting, and wood engraving will be showcased. What’s more, local artist and co-curator of the show, Chrisantha, is contributing a project titled “Eating Creative Pack 2025” in which she has helped each artist pair their art with a “consumable.”
