Dignitas Youth UofT & Cinema Studies Student Union CINSSU co-presentation of Triage Dr. James Orbinski's Humanitarian Dilemma follows Orbinski, a physician, professor, and activist who accepted the 1999 Nobel Peace Prize on behalf of Mdecins Sans Frontires/Doctors Without Borders. In the film, he revisits Somalia, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, and relives his experiences as a relief worker that continues to define his personal and professional self. Walking through these sites of conflict stirs Orbinski to ruminate on the connection between the past and present, and the contradictions inherent to humanitarianism.
