HISTORY: In April of 2017, Culture Toronto held it's first Studio Ghibli Double Feature because we love anime, and Hayao Miyazaki’s team does some of the best anime movies ever. Since the date was April 1st, April Fool’s Day, we call these events Foolish for Ghibli! As we branched out over 2 years, we never forgot the standard we started with - we called these are Foolish for Ghibli PLUS events! The PLUS + meant that we showed one Ghibli movie and one non-Ghibli movie like works from the equally amazing director Mamoru Hosoda. Now that we’re doing 2 non-ghibli movies, we’re still Foolish, but now we’re Foolish For Anime

This FFG+ event occurring on May 11th, just as summer is beginning, has a lot of magic in store. We’re showing great works by acclaimed directors: Children Who Chase Lost Voices and Mirai of The Future. Both of these movies are utterly magical, with love and important decisions between very different worlds to make for main characters - you’ll be wondering if you would make similar decisions yourself. It is going to be an utter joy to watch these movies with great stories and compelling animation together on the big screen! You coming?!
