Cherry Blossoms at Exhibition Place

Where:

The cherry blossoms at Exhibition Place can be found throughout the west side of the grounds, with the best spots for viewing at:

• The Princess Margaret Fountain

• The Queen Elizabeth Building

• Bandshell Park (along the walkway south of the Toronto Event Centre)

• Liberty Grand

When:

Cherry blossoms, or Sakura, bloom for a limited time each year, typically reaching their peak in Toronto between late April and early

May.

• The exact timing varies depending on weather conditions. At Exhibition Place, buds have already begun to appear, and the trees are expected to reach full bloom in the coming weeks.

• Once in bloom, the flowers generally remain for approximately 7 to 10 days

Free Cherry Blossom Photo Walks

Exhibition Place will be hosting a series of free guided Cherry Blossom Photo Walks from April 26 - May 1

• Led by Phil Sutherland and his team from West Toronto Photography Group, the sessions are designed to support photographers of all skill levels in capturing the blossoms at their peak.

• Each walk will last approximately one hour and will begin at Bandshell Park. Participants will receive guidance on techniques including framing, lighting, and visual storytelling.

• In addition to the general sessions, special sunset walks will also be offered for intermediate photographers using SLR or DSLR cameras. These sessions will focus on flash photography.
