Visiting Toronto from Ecuador Chef Rodrigo Pacheco is a world-renowned nature-based culinary explorer, bringing his delicious sustainable cuisine to the city for one night at esteemed French restaurant Chantecler.
Chef Pacheco attracted the attention of the world through his innovative culinary project "The largest Biodiverse Edible Forest in the world" that he developed as Executive Director of the Bocavaldivia Foundation, focusing on conservation and restoration through gastronomy.
The executive chef and founder of Ecuador’s Bocavaldivia restaurant (named one of the World’s Best Restaurants) and Foresta restaurant, Chef Pacheco is a specialist in sustainable tourism and bases his culinary offerings on restoring and connecting ecosystems, knowledge and flavours.
Chef Pacheco is also Ecuador’s Goodwill Ambassador at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.
