Cephalopography Launch and Dance Party!

The debut of Rasiqra Revulva's chapbook of poetry and illustration, "Cephalopography," is being released this week by Words on Pages! Join us in raucous respiration at Bar 499 / Glad Day Bookshop for an exhilarating night of:

-POETRY!

An eclectic selection of LGBTQ Toronto writers, including:

**Adam Zachary (1993-present) is an artist and writer. Their first novel, 'The End, by Anna', will launch October 28 with Metatron.

**Vero Diaz is working with the Divine Feminine. She also engages with her mixed mestizo ancestry, love, the erotic, and her spiritual connection with the Earth. She spent a year under d'bi young's mentorship in the Watah Theatre where she produced a one-woman biomythic multimedia performance called 'Red Surrender'. She is currently working on a watercolour painting queer mermaid love story called "Sweet Waters".

**Rasiqra Revulva performing a multi-media excerpt of her debut chapbook "Cephalopography!"

-ART!

Cephalopod and ocean-themed mixed Media found object artwork, available to purchase and to delight!

Video art projected on walls, between and during performances!

-LIVE ELECTRONIC MUSIC!

**Electro-punk noise sensation The Black Tetras!

**Glitch/Industrial duo The Databats - with new, ocean-inspired music (including some "Cephalopography" crossovers) and video projections!

-SPOOKY! OCTOPUS! DANCE PARTY!

Arrive early and stay late to mingle and groove to spooky tunes! Hallowe'en costumes are highly encouraged (though please consider this is an anti-oppressive event); and we may be light on tricks, but we shall be heavy on treats!

More details to come as they emerge. Please note that both the venue and washroom are wheelchair accessible; and the video projections may contain flashing lights/photosensitive triggers.
