Carve & Print: Custom Linocut Sketchbooks
Customize your own kraft cover sketchbook with a linocut print of your own creation!
In this workshop, you’ll be creating a custom linocut image to print onto a sketchbook cover. Our instructor will guide you step-by-step, in carving the lino, inking the image, and getting a clean, even print. By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with a unique sketchbook, fine art prints and the knowledge of how to set up a printmaking space at home. Beginners welcome.
You can create anything you wish; please bring your own photos, sketches and drawings for reference. We will be carving a 4 x 6 inch lino block, so your design needs to fit those dimensions.
Printmaking materials will be provided. We’ll also have Posca paint markers available for adding an extra punch of colour.
