After 4 long years, Air Guitar Canada is back! On July 31st at the MOD CLub, the Canadian Air Guitar Championships will take place and crown the 2014 Canadian Air Guitar Champion! For who don't know, for the past 19 years in Oulu, Finland (the northern capital), Air Guitarists from around the world meet to compete in the AIR GUITAR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS. They create 1-minute mime/air guitar performances that defy reality and melt the crowd’s faces. These air guitar heroes are judged using the figure skating scoring system of 4.0 to 6.0 for originality, stage charisma, technical merit, ability to be taken over by the music, artistic impression, and of course, ‘airness’.

Dark Horse competitors will compete for the last remaining spots and then take on the Toronto Champ and other regional qualifiers for the Championships. It's not too late - Registration for the Dark Horse competition ends July 28th.

Our Canadian Champion will win a trip to Finland to represent Canada and bring home the gold.
