Canada Day 2026 at the THM
Use comp code CANADA2026 at checkout on July 1 to take advantage of complimentary tickets for this special day at the Museum.
Spend this Canada Day with the Toronto Holocaust Museum (THM) and Jewish Immigrant Aid Services (JIAS), finding inspiration in the enduring strength of refugees and the stories of Holocaust survivors and descendants who help shape the fabric of Canadian society.
Explore experiences of survival, immigration, and rebuilding throughout the galleries. Participate in artmaking activities inspired by Silhouettes of Survival, a special installation by artist Rosette Sund that explores the experiences of people who came to Canada after the devastation of the Second World War.
Engage with the exhibition, Sponsorship Stories, on view in the Ekstein Family Learning Lab. JIAS created this exhibition to celebrate 10 years of life-changing work of sponsoring refugees, helping them to resettle and find community here. Through personal stories of courage, commitment, and community, the exhibition invites visitors to reflect on what these experiences reveal about Canada today.
This program is recommended for ages 12 and up.
This program is supported by UJA’s Kultura Collective project grant. The Silhouettes of Survival installation is presented in partnership with Jewish Immigrant Aid Services and the Ontario Jewish Archives Blankenstein Family Heritage Centre.
