Butterflies On The Brink: The Story of the Mottled Duskywing Screening

The Mottled Duskywing butterfly, found only in a handful of habitats in Ontario, is vanishing at an alarming rate. Witness the inspiring efforts of a dedicated recovery team as they work tirelessly to bring this species back to its former range.

Join us for a screening of Butterflies on the Brink: The Story of the Mottled Duskywing, a gripping documentary about a rare butterfly species' fight for survival on the edge of extinction.

The film is approximately 47 minutes, followed by a Q&A panel with Miles Finlayson, the director of Butterflies On The Brink, with special guests:

Adrienne Brewster, Executive Director of Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory.

Jessica Linton, Senior Biologist and Species at Risk Manager at Natural Resource Solutions Inc. and the Chair of the Ontario Butterfly Species at Risk Recovery Team.

Dr. Ryan Norris, professor at the University of Guelph's Department of Integrative Biology

Presented by the David Suzuki Foundation, a Canadian environmental non-profit organization with a mission to protect nature’s diversity and the wellbeing of all life, now and for the future.

Free. Registration required. Doors open at 6:15 pm. At 6:30 pm, seating becomes first-come, first-served until capacity is reached.
