Friday, October 23rd join The Shannon Butcher Quintet at Butcher’s Porter House in The Old Mill to celebrate the music of Cole Porter!

Cole Porter's sophisticated lyrics, unforgettable melodies, and true sense of style helped define the Great American Songbook and nearly a century after they were written his songs are still favourites for musicians and audiences alike.

Shannon Butcher is a Canadian jazz singer/songwriter, who charms audiences with her joyful wit and warm energy. It’s no surprise that Shannon would find a perfect partner in Porter’s clever repartee and his bittersweet love songs.

Shannon Butcher’s quintet featuring - Matt Giffin on piano, Gord Mowat on bass, Tim Shia on drums and Rebecca Hennessy on trumpet - will bring Porter’s music to life with Shannon’s signature mix of classic swing and fresh interpretations of timeless treasures.
