Brockton Presents: PAULO - Steps Along the Road

In this body of work PAULO explores the concepts of instilling positive nostalgic feelings to the viewer through imagery he has captured on his travels. He believes that the imagery can act as a trigger for thoughts and memories that have happened or will happen in due time.

Angolan born PAULO was forced to leave his place of birth due to war. He left behind a world he knew to one he never met. Used to great open spaces, beautiful sunsets, infinite seas, lush forests, endless savannahs, and wildlife; he missed a part of his life. In search of what he lost, his eyes try to capture all of the beauty he once knew wherever his steps take him today.

PAULO has been a traditional photographer since his teenage years developing his own work. In the last decade he made the leap to digital Photography. Please join us Thursday April 24th for his Toronto debut and his first digital photography exhibit consisting of images from his travels such as textures, landscapes and icons.
