Book Launch for "The Adventures of Ludwig and Imogen"

Books about Toronto are hot, whether they are telling the story of newcomers building the Bloor Street Viaduct, coming of age in Scarborough, the escape of fifteen dogs, the idiosyncrasies of growing up in 1950s Don Mills or resistance among 20-something young people of colour in the early 2000s.

Stories about the mythical creatures living in our midst have however, been in short supply, until now. Enter writer Beryl Tsang and illustrator Meredith Wolting’s "The Adventures of Ludwig and Imogen", about a happy if imaginary hippogriff and his hapless but very real human.

Join them as they explore the urban realities of getting to Mythical Creatures Day Care and Work on time, jumping puddles and riding the TTC.

Kids will love Wolting’s bold watercolours of Ludwig and his equally imaginary friends Georges I, II & III, Selkie, Raffi, Lucy, and Batley while their harried parents will relate to Imgoen’s never ending stream of social media posts, texts and emails about the hazards of having a pet hippogriff (imaginary or otherwise)
