We're Funny That Way comedy festival
WELL WE'RE BACK! And back with a vengeance committed to raising funds for small queer charities across Canada and maybe someday internationally.
The festival kicks off with its big ticket gala at the Alumnae Theatre. This years Gayla Gala is a 90 minute fast-paced variety show featuring festival talent and loads of Canadas favourite personalities. Were celebrating performance of all kind so, as is the case with all of our galas, youll never know what you might get.
Scheduled to appear: Lea DeLaria Orange is the New Black, Stephen Wallem Nurse Jackie, Colin MochrieWhose Line, Deb McGrath Little Mosque, Gavin Crawford Because News, Shoshana Sperling The Monkey Bunch, Teresa Pavlinek The Jane Show, Martha E. Chaves JFL, Areta M. Slam Poet, Belle JumellesBurlesque, David Benjamin Tomlinson Starfcker, Chantel Marostica JFL, Lucas Silveira the Cliks, Ryan Graham Hinds and introducing Aastha Lal and Amir Brandon. Festival founder Maggie Cassella standup, TV host, neat freak will host this all-star and future-star show.
Tickets are $300 a person or $3000 for a groupof ten and can be purchased online at http://thegaylagala.bpt.me or by writing firstname.lastname@example.org Tax receipts available in accordance with CRA rules and regulations.
Oh and theres fun food too. Remember we go for fun not fancy. And cupcakes! There will be cupcakes!! Rubber chickens reserved for the stage.

The Were Funny That Way Festival is a fundraiser for the Were Funny That Way Foundation which aims to give transformational gifts to queer charities across Canada.
