Black Star is the second edition of TIFF’s series celebrating Black excellence on the big screen. The series includes films by Carl Franklin (Devil in a Blue Dress), Oscar nominee Dee Rees (Pariah), and acclaimed artist and filmmaker Isaac Julien (Looking for Langston).
