Bike Party

Party bikes. Normal bikes. Small sound systems. Large sound systems. YOU make the Bike Party happen!!! We had so much fun exploring the city last year, we just had to do it again!!!

Meetup at Christie Pits before rollout. Allow some time for yourself to set up your bikes with all the glow, blinkie, light-up stuff you can cram on your bike. We encourage battery operated lights as opposed to glow sticks to reduce waste as the cost is about the same.

We'll try to synchronize our sound systems & then we ride. How? The playlist will be posted below in two file size formats. Download it, share it, spread it. At our meeting spot, we'll all try to hit play at the same time & off we go! Prefer to play your own tunes? That's cool too, but there definitely is a lot of fun in seeing how all the systems large & small drift in and out of sync!

There will be stops along the way. There will also be catch-up points, so don't feel the need to do anything unsafe, run reds or be bad riders on the road. Be safe out there, watch out for yourself & your fellow riders.

Hashtag your social media to find pics of yourself & fellow riders!

If you'd like to participate, please get in touch. A few ways you can assist - you can donate MP3 players or unused Android smartphones; let us know if you're bringing a sizable sound system; you're interested in marshalling; logistics support; mobile bike repairs; general safety; financial donations. Many thanks in advance!

Riders of all ages & skill level are invited. Costumes & general silliness are also encouraged!

This event is free, however if you'd like to contribute to the event, there are a lot of costs involved & we'd be happy to let you know how you could most effectively help the ride & the greater community. Donations are gladly accepted.

Music files to be made available on the event page closer to the event date, so be sure to check back closer to the event.

In case of iffy weather, we'll make a call two hours before ride time. Also, bring tools, tubes & tokens just in case of unexpected breakdowns.
