After a tremendously successful and hilly tour of Nova Scotia, we are so excited to return home and share our new production 'shadow box' with Toronto audiences.
'shadow box' is a collection of eight contemporary opera scenes, by different Canadian composers, but with one vision: exploring our mind's relationship to memory, what we treasure dearly and what haunts us in turn.
shadow box's premiere in Nova Scotia was greeted with enthusiasm by both opera veterans and newbies alike. With some of Canada's most sought-after emerging artists, integrated creative design by Sonja Rainey, and clever dramatic direction by award-winning director Liza Balkan, shadow box is an emersive theatrical experience that is sure to captivate audiences across Ontario.
